  1. Congratulations for your blog ! I can't believe that you collected so many material !

When I saw the film in Paris, Joann Sfar was here and I had the chance to hear him about his work. How fascinating it was !

There was also a few people who had met Serge Gainsbourg : a woman who had known him when she was a child at Le Centre de Champsfleur and his first music publisher.

  2. Amazing. I would love to have had a chance to talk to the publisher. I imagine she has some incredible stories. Do you think Sfar will be criticized by many people for his characterization of Gainsbourg in the film?

  3. For the moment, the critics are good (but be sure, there will have some bad, we are in France you know ;-)). To realize this film, Sfar needed to obtain the authorization of the family and it's like a pledge. Even if Jane Birkin and Charlotte Gainsbourg said that they would not see it (too difficult for them), they encouraged the project.
Something else very important : the film is presented as a tale and not a biopic. We know some facts are real and some others are not but for me, Sfar always respected the artist Gainsbourg.
